Welcome to the

Greatest Hobby on Earth

Circus Model Builders (CMB) is an international group of circus enthusiasts that create, collect, and display models of the circus to preserve the rich history and support the continuance of the unique entertainment spectacle that is circus.

Experience the circus interpreted by the exceptional folk art created by CMB members.

Mission

Organization

The CMB is open to everyone around the world who is interested in building, collecting, and displaying circus models.  The CMB is geographically organized into six "Lots" which are managed by Lot Managers.  The Lots are organized into local groups called "Rings" that are managed by "Ringmasters" who lead Ring meetings and activities.

The CMB holds an Annual Convention which is hosted each year by a different Lot. In addition to the Annual Convention, Lots and Rings organize local events throughout the year which are open to the public.  Check the Events page to find the date of a CMB event near you!

The CMB publishes a quarterly magazine called the “Little Circus Wagon”.  The magazine features articles, pictures, and plans about circus modeling submitted by members.  To place an advertisement in the “Little Circus Wagon” just contact the CMB Advertising Manager.

Membership in the CMB is annual beginning in January and ending in December of the same year.  New memberships begin the month the application is received by the Membership Secretary/Treasurer. Membership to the CMB is required to receive the “Little Circus Wagon” magazine and to join a CMB Ring.  Rings may also require additional fees to cover activity expenses for hosting meetings and displays.
