6 people in custody as homicide cops probe man's death in Aurora

Six people are in police custody after a man with “significant trauma” was found dead on Wednesday afternoon in Aurora.
York Regional Police said the homicide unit was investigating what they described as an “isolated incident” at about 2:45 p.m. in the Wellington St. E.-Walton Dr. area between Yonge St. and Industrial Parkway.

They said officers found the victim inside a residence and that he was pronounced dead at the scene.

While six people had been taken into custody, they said no charges had been laid “at this time.”
Police told reporters that five of the people taken into custody were found near the residence , CityNews reported.
Few details were immediately available as police had yet to reveal how the man died, how old he was and whether he lived at the home, although police told CityNews they were not looking for additional suspects.

‘Dynamic scene’
“This is a very dynamic scene,” Const. James Dickson said via CityNews. “We’re going to follow evidence where it goes and we’re going to be looking into every avenue with it.
“We’re going to be on scene for quite a while. We have our forensics team that’s going to be looking into all of the incidents surrounding this and we’re going to be collecting evidence.
“Residents in the neighbourhood can expect our officers to be going door to door looking for any video or anyone that might have any information.”
