Wisconsin basketball gets commitment from California forward Vivian Grenald

During the offseason, Badgers coach Robin Pingeton and her staff added transfers Addie Deal (Iowa) and Caia Rose (Chattanooga), who hail from Irvine and Whittier, respectively, and attended powerhouse Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana.
Vivian Grenald, a four-star prospect from the Los Angeles area, announced her commitment to UW's 2027 class on Sept. 29. The 6-foot-2 forward attends JSerra Catholic High School. SportsCenter Next lists her as a four-star prospect and ranks her No. 76 in the class.

Grenald joins Madison Edgewood point guard Anna Miller and Kimberly forward Ava Van Vonderen in the Badgers' 2027 class. Those players can make their commitments official during the early signing period Nov. 11-18.
Grenald announced an offer from UW on May 18. An August Instagram post by her high school said she received 21 offers. The post said she had official visits scheduled or taken with Loyola Marymount, UNLV, Georgetown , Wake Forest, Arizona and UW.
According to the Orange County Register, Grenald averaged 19.6 points and 10.4 rebounds per game last season.
