Celtic hit with another injury concern as Hassan ruled out of Egypt matches
The news will come as a blow to Celtic, with Hassan having emerged as an important attacking option for Martin O’Neill since his summer arrival.

The 24-year-old had been selected for the Egypt national squad but will now remain sidelined as he works on his recovery.
Egypt manager Hossam Hassan confirmed (via a report in Scottish Sun) the situation, although he offered no details on the nature of the injury or how long the Celtic winger could be sidelined.

“Haissem Hassan is receiving intensive treatment just now,” the national boss said. Despite losing the Celtic player, the Egypt boss insisted that his squad has sufficient attacking depth to cope with his absence.
“Haissem is a vital technical asset for our long-term vision, but his recent injury made it impossible for him to join us for this camp.
“We prioritise player health and full physical recovery above all else and we expect him back once he is 100 per cent fit.
“We cannot halt our progress or make excuses because of injuries. The secret to our success lies in navigating these difficulties, and I assure everyone that the team are fully ready.”

“But I am not worried about his absence because we have a lot of excellent players to replace him.”
For Celtic, however, the focus will inevitably be on Hassan’s recovery and whether the problem has any impact on his availability when club football resumes with a trip to Fir Park to play Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday 11th October.
Haissem Hassan joined Celtic from Real Oviedo during the summer and has quickly become part of Martin O’Neill’s starting XI. His pace and direct running have provided another option in the wide areas, while he has already shown his ability to make an impact in the final third, although the lack of an end product so far is a concern for some supporters.

Details are sketchy about Hassan’s injury but it is worrying
The winger was involved in Celtic’s recent victory over St Johnstone, setting up Mika Baur for the only goal of the game, while he also saw an effort ruled out during the match.
His progress has therefore been watched closely since his arrival in Glasgow, particularly after his summer involvement with Egypt. There is currently no public indication of the severity of the latest injury, with neither the player nor Celtic providing a specific diagnosis or return date.

That uncertainty will be the main concern for Martin O’Neill and indeed the Celtic support, with Kieran Tierney also an injury concern after earlier this week withdrawing from the Scotland squad.
The player should return to Lennoxtown to have the injury assed by Celtic
With Hassan now receiving intensive treatment rather than linking up with Egypt, the hope from a Celtic perspective will be that the intervention allows him to recover fully and return to the squad as soon as possible. ideally the player gets himself back to Lennoxtown as quickly as possible so that the medical staff at the club can assess the injury problem.

For now, though, the winger’s international involvement has been cut short — and Celtic will await further updates on an injury that has yet to be publicly specified.
