Travis Kelce made some big plays in the Kansas City Chiefs’ Monday night win, and Andy Reid hilariously kept him humble with his comments.
Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs got Patrick Mahomes back in Week 1 of the new NFL season, and looked completely revitalised.

The team comfortably beat the Denver Broncos 31-10, with Kelce going viral for a massive play. In the third quarter, Kelce had an incredible 59-yard catch-and-run.
Kelce made history during the contest too, moving past Jason Witten for No. 2 all-time on the list of receiving yards for a tight end. Coach Andy Reid couldn’t resist a friendly jab despite all this, though.

Kelce and Reid had their share of disagreements last year, including a very public one.However, all seems to be forgotten this season as the Chiefs try to get back to the NFL’s summit.
Following Kelce’s extremely effective display, Reid made it a point to have a little fun at the tight end’s expense, mentioning his age. Kelce is 36 years old, fairly ancient in NFL terms.
“Kelce, he dusted it off, right? Three for 71 yards. Pretty good for an old man that people look crosseyed at,” Reid said.
The tight end has been in the news more for his wedding to Taylor Swift than anything related to football in the past year. This will be a fun change for him, even if it is a little dig from Reid.
If the Chiefs can get some big plays and efficient production from Kelce, they will be a force to be reckoned with yet again. Now that the proverbial band is back together, their threat is massive once more.
