Rams WR Puka Nacua trending in right direction for Week 1

Los Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua (groin) is expected to play in the Week 1 game against the San Francisco 49ers in Melbourne, Australia. Head coach Sean McVay said Sunday, Sept. 6, that the receiver is "making good progress."

"Been hitting some high speed yards at a really good clip with (head athletic trainer) Reggie [Scott] and his group," McVay said. "And when we get back out there, it'll be fun to have him."

Huddle Up: Fantasy managers can breathe a bit of a sigh of relief, but we're not out of the woods quite yet. We'll get a better sense of things Monday in the team's walkthrough, while things become a lot more definitive Tuesday into Wednesday, before an official injury designation is given. We have time, and with the Rams playing early in the week, there is time to formulate a plan. Have alternates at the ready just in case. If Nacua cannot go, Davante Adams would see a majority of the target share, with Jordan Whittington and perhaps the recently re-acquired Tutu Atwell stepping up.
