NFR’s Bharat Scouts & Guides extend support & helping hands to flood affected families

Demonstrating its unwavering commitment towards humanitarian service and community welfare, the members of Northeast Frontier Railway’s (NFR) Bharat Scouts & Guides have undertaken a special flood relief collection and distribution initiative to support people affected by the recent floods in Assam. As part of the campaign, a Flood Relief Collection & Distribution Booth was set up at its Headquarters in Maligaon, from 27th to 31st July, 2026. The relief collection drive was formally inaugurated on 27th July, 2026 by the Principal Chief Personnel Officer (PCPO) of NFR, in the presence of other senior officers & officials along with members of the Bharat Scouts & Guides. The initiative witnessed wholehearted participation from railway staff/members, who generously contributed essential relief materials for the flood affected families.
Taking the humanitarian effort beyond the collection drive, members of the NFR’s Bharat Scouts & Guides, Mariani District Association, carried out relief distribution in the flood affected areas of Sibsagar and Jorhat districts. The team reached out to affected families with essential relief materials, extending timely assistance and moral support to those facing hardships due to the floods. The volunteers actively interacted with local residents and ensured that the relief reached the needy, reflecting the core values of the Scouts & Guides movement i.e. Service, Compassion and Selfless dedication to the society.
