Regardless of how long, any acknowledgement from one of the USA’s best-ever athletes is high praise. And Bellingham deserves it.
As unconvincing as his team’s performance was, he showed up once again. Hungriest to get to every ball. Relentless despite clearly running out of gas. It was one of the performances of the tournament.

Whenever England need inspiration, it’s the Real Madrid star who shows up. Still just 23, he is the clear leader of one of the strongest teams at the World Cup.
