Thursday’s 83-71 win was just what the doctor ordered for the Fever. They are off to a strong start to the Commissioner’s Cup and gained momentum ahead of a two-game road trip. They will face the New York Liberty on Saturday and the Washington Mystics on Monday.
Indiana’s next four games will be over an eight-day span. Given the travel and preparations involved ahead of matchups, health and recovery will be of utmost importance. The good news for the Fever is they have several veterans on their roster, including Clark, who understand a season’s grind.
They are now 5-4, and getting back on track versus Atlanta could signal the start of a winning streak. However, it won’t be a walk in the park as three of their next four games will be away from home.
