After losing seven straight to the Angels dating back to 2024, the Dodgers finally broke through against their local rival.
In 2025, the Angels swept both season series, with the Dodgers going 0-6, despite having a much better season than the Angels.
The Dodgers won on Friday despite Blake Snell not making his scheduled start, as he was scratched a few hours before the game.

In turn, the Dodgers’ offense saw sustained power, something they have lacked in 2025 for most of the year, with three home runs in the game creating six runs on the board.
On Saturday, the goal is to keep things going.

With a righty on the mound for the Angels in Jose Soriano, the Dodgers have deployed a lefty-leaning lineup, hoping to rattle one of the best pitchers in the American League.
Ohtani, Freeman, Muncy, and Kim, the four left-handers in the lineup, will be counted on to deliver at the plate.
Teoscar Hernandez is the hottest bat on the team right now, and despite the matchup not being strong, he could have another big day.
Beyond taking home the victory, Dodgers fans will want the lineup to continue showing progress in the right direction.
Who is pitching for the Dodgers?
LHP: Justin Wrobleski

Mandatory Credit: Jonathan Hui-Imagn ImagesJustin Wrobleski, who has pitched 44.2 innings with a 2.42 ERA, will need to provide some length for the team.
The bullpen was taxed by their activity, and it is reasonable to expect at least six innings. He has been great at limiting hard contact and attacking the strike zone.
He has only 22 strikeouts on the year, and his FIP indicates he is due for regression, but the sample size is large enough to believe he can be a workhorse, highly effective innings eater.
