This landmark occasion heralds a new chapter in fortifying the Bharatiya Tatrakshak’s operational prowess and administrative acumen along the eastern seaboard, underscoring the nation’s commitment to safeguarding the maritime frontiers.

The newly unveiled complex stands as a striking embodiment of the vision of a “Modern Force, Modern Infrastructure.” Blending contemporary architectural elegance with cutting-edge functionality, the facility houses an advanced Operations Centre alongside the Maritime Rescue Sub Centre, Puducherry - together forming the nerve centre for seamless command, control, and coordination. This integrated infrastructure is meticulously designed to enable swift, agile, and effective responses to the dynamic challenges of the maritime domain. Coast Guard District Headquarters No. 13 (Puducherry & Central Tamil Nadu) shoulders the critical responsibility of overseeing an expansive maritime stretch of over 140 nautical miles, spanning the Union Territory of Puducherry and four districts of Central Tamil Nadu. In fulfilling its mandate, the Headquarters remains steadfast in protecting life and property at sea, preserving the marine environment, and upholding Bharat’s maritime interests with vigilance and resolve.
