Panthers' updated 2026 draft picks after Day 2 trade with Vikings

· Yahoo Sports

The Carolina Panthers did another bit of business with the Minnesota Vikings.

On Friday night, during the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft, general manager Dan Morgan called up north to land the 49th and 196th overall picks in exchange for the 51st and 159th picks. That jump helped the Panthers secure Texas Tech's Lee Hunter, a 2025 first-team All-American defensive lineman to add to their trenches.

Hunter now joins offensive tackle Monroe Freeling, the 19th overall selection, in the team's 2026 draft class.

So, what does Carolina have left following the Day 2 swap?

Here are the picks the Panthers are now working with moving forward:

  • No. 83 (Third round)
  • No. 119 (Fourth round)
  • No. 158, via Minnesota (Fifth round)
  • No. 196, via Minnesota (Sixth round)
  • No. 200 (Sixth round)

That 158th pick was acquired, also from the Vikings, in the trade of now-retired wide receiver Adam Thielen.

If Morgan stays put, the Panthers will have one more selection to make tonight.
