WARMINGTON: If they craved attention for shooting at Vaughan home, it has been achieved

Turns out the Greater Toronto Area is the wild west!

And it’s getting wilder!

These wannabe gangsters don’t even hide their brazen shooting of a home with mutual gunshot blasts on a quiet residential street. They post about it on social media for everyone to see. High noon is whenever they decide it is.

There is nothing subtle or discreet when firing a shotgun at someone’s residence. The GTA is the kind of place where not only are there criminals who will shoot up a person’s home, but they will also brag about it and even put it out there for public consumption. It’s kind of a calling card, like the Sticky Bandits in Home Alone 2 . Time will tell if York Regional Police investigating in Vaughan end up turning them into the Stupid Bandits.

For now, with the help of their hoods and masks, these marksmen are currently the On the Loose Bandits. Locked and loaded, they are still out there. But, stayed tuned. This mystery is just getting started.

This shooting scene captured on a cellphone camera is not a video game and it doesn’t look like artificial intelligence. It looks deadly. Unlike when federal Justice Minister Sean Fraser tried to spin it as not the wild west, it clearly is that — and these shooters even make their own movies. Drive by shooters don’t drive by anymore. They stop, park, sometimes get out of the vehicle, and even film a video.

Letting video and bullets do the talking

In this case, these guys are using social media to shoot their way to anonymous fame! Ironically, it’s York police trying to help make sure everybody knows their names with their quest to get them into court.

One screenshot shows a masked bandit carrying a handgun toward an accomplice who films from a vehicle. Regardless, the video appears to show they mean business. Now, police are trying to determine if this video is authentic and related to a shooting of a home and attempted arson of a vehicle that they are probing — as well as a second house shooting incident they are investigating.

“On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, just before 9:30 a.m., police responded to reports of gunshots in the area of Kleinburg Summit Way and First Nations Trail. When officers arrived, they observed shell casings in the driveway of a residence. A black sport utility vehicle (SUV) was observed fleeing the area shortly after the shots were fired.”

This was not the first attack at this abode.

“This incident follows an attempted vehicle arson at the same residence on Monday, March 23, 2026 at approximately 2:50 a.m. During that incident, a dark-coloured sedan was observed stopping on the street in front of the house. Two suspects exited their vehicle, approached and poured gasoline on a vehicle parked in the driveway. The [attempt] to ignite the vehicle was unsuccessful.”

For now, the shooters are letting their video dubbed with South Asian music do the talking. And their bullets.

Were these pros or amateurs?

“Suspects who shot up a home in Vaughan this morning have uploaded videos of their crimes to social media,” anonymous X account AwareBears posted on Wednesday, adding “they can’t hold onto a 12-gauge or clear stovepipe from a pistol.”

Amateurs? Or wanting cops to think that? It’s like a game of cat and mouse!

Hard to imagine what Canada has become.

Sometimes, York police has alleged as part of Project South, the addresses for targeted shooting sites are allegedly provided through international police communication systems. No one is saying that’s the case here, but no possibilities can be left off the table.

“Nothing will happen to them,” posted Lesley S. to X on whoever the shooters are. “They have nothing to fear from the justice system.”

We will see. Cops is all over this. They say the first suspect is a male who was wearing a “black-hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black shoes” while the second suspect is a male with light complexion who was wearing a “red bandana, black-hooded sweater, white t-shirt, black sweatpants, black and grey shoes.”

Police trying to see if it all is connected

While police have not “verified” this video, they are asking for the public to help determine if this clip matches the home that was victimized by gunfire and the attempted arson — or if its a way to send detectives in another direction on a wild goose chase.

“Investigators are working to determine whether the two incidents are connected and are asking anyone with information to come forward,” said a release sent out by Const. Alison McCully.

In another incident, York’s Firearms Investigations Team are looking for the public’s help in a reported “gunshots at a residence” at Clubhouse Rd. and Pine Valley Dr., which occurred Wednesday at 1 a.m. In that case, officers made one arrest and a handgun was recovered.

Ahkari Bowen, 18, was hit with many gun charges including “discharge a firearm into or at a place in a reckless manner.” The charges have not been tested in court, and police say a second suspect is at large.

It is not believed that this shooting is related to the other one or connected to the video. But what it does show is the epidemic of craziness that is going on in Vaughan.

Police trying to see if it all is connected

Investigators are looking for other videos to go through in the earlier shooting.

“Police are particularly interested in obtaining video surveillance or dash-camera footage from the area that may have captured the roadways around the time of the incident,” cops said Wednesday.

These gangsters seem to want to be famous. Perhaps somebody out there has the right information to grant them their wish.
