Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is not in the squad to face Newcastle in the FA Cup fifth round on Saturday, March 7.
Though Haaland has dealt with a minor ankleinjury recently, the Norway star is currently not injured, per Fabrizio Romano.

Instead, Man City manager Pep Guardiola has simply opted to rest Haaland ahead of a busy stretch.
The star forward is reportedly still expected to start on Wednesday, March 11 when City visits Real Madrid for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 showdown.
Haaland leads the Premier League with 22 goals this season and has 107 goals in 125 league appearances since joining the club in 2022.
With Haaland out, Guardiola has given Omar Marmoush a chance to lead the line. Savinho and Jérémy Doku will support the Egyptian from wide attacking positions.
