The 2026 league year is coming next month. It officially begins on March 11, with the legal negotiating period beginning on March 9.

Next up is quarterback Jacoby Brissett.
Jacoby Brissett 2025 season
Brissett joined the Cardinals on a two-year contract last offseason to be Kyler Murray's backup.
He ended up being the Cardinals' No. 1 quarterback after Murray's foot injury. He started 12 games, went 1-11 and 0-9 in the final nine games, but he had a career year.
He completed 64.9% of his passes for 3,366 yards, 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He set career-highs in passing yards and touchdown passes.
Jaocby Brissett contract status
Brissett is signed through 2026. He will make $4.9 million salary and a $2 million bonus. He will count nearly $9.2 million against the salary cap.
Jacoby Brissett offseason outlook
While the biggest question of the offseason is about Kyler Murray, another very important question is what the Cardinals expect from Brissett in 2026? Will he enter the season as the starter after going 1-11 as a starter and not playing well in any high-leverage situation? Will he be happy returning to a backup role? Does new head coach Mike LaFleur want him?
Brissett might actually have the better trade value between him and Murray because Brissett's contract is very reasonable, especially if a team needs someone who can start.
